Why ISB is in top 20 according Financial Times Rankings

Lets see how much we can rely on Financial Times Rankings.

Here is the official methodology of Financial Time Ranking.

I would say considering PPP (Purchasing Power Parity) and rating is not fair because if some country like Zimbabwe (theoretically) gets a good b-school internationally approved then it would be rank no.1.
ISB is ranking high just because of India’s low PPP
INDIA PPP RANK according to CIA Factbook
165 India $ 3,100 2009 est.
This just proves India has a good college like ISB which way above its level comparing to its PPP
Where does US, China, France n Spain stand?
US – $ 46,400 2009 est.
China – 127 rnk $ 6,500 2009 est.
France – 38 rnk $ 32,800 2009 est.
Spain – 37 rnk $ 33,700 2009 est.
India’s PPP is less than half of China’s why won’t ISB be in 12th? In future even if ISB makes into top 10 it just means that India is paying ISB guys much abv their PPP tough India is fairing bad in the world senario.

Calculating the Actual average package considering $ as the standard currency for IS
http://rankings.ft.com/businessschoolrankings/global-mba-rankings
average salary of ISB grads - 141,291$ considering PPP
What if India cities are at par with US cities after most of the ISB guys work in cities not villages for sure.
141,291 * 3,100(PPP of India)/46,400(PPP of USA) = 9,439.7$ unbelievable !!
ok lets move to Brazil as people compare India with Brazil in a lot of respects
141,291 * 3,100(PPP of India)/ 10,200(PPP of Brazil) = 42,941$ !!
Considering Indian cities at par with that of Brazil in terms of cost of living or even better in some cases.
ISB cannot possibly appear in top 100 of the world.

To an extent considering PPP is fair methodology as far as Developed countries are concerned because of varying cost of living across the globe. But its not correct when considering a countries like India, China and Brazil. Though PPP of these countries is low due to high population of lower and middle class people in the society make these countries come in the lower end of the PPP countries list, though India ranks 165 according to PPP, the cost of living in major cities of the country are comparable to cities in USA. China follows the similar course in a better way with even higher cost of living in major cities like Shanghai and Beijing. So, the point to be taken is MBA grads after finishing their Graduation would most probably be employed in one of these major cities, not any rural places. Considering this, placements/value after MBA in Best B-Schools (top 20) in USA is much better than in any other B-School in India or China.

I hope this is useful :).
This is just for information sake folks! :)
